We are dealing with a number of things happening in our country, the pandemic, racial tension, and the upcoming presidential election. We have to make a decision on how we are going to respond to all the turmoil. We can not allow any of these things to shake us, and be tossed around like a leaf by the wind. We have to do as instructed in 1Corinthians 15:58 , there are two things Paul points out, that we are to be, steadfast and immovable. These two words are what we are called to be. To be steadfast, means to
be unwavering in your commitment to serve the Lord. You are not oblivious to what is going on, but you understand it’s not bigger than the Lord. Therefore, we will not be shaken by the situations occurring around us. To be immovable, means the foundation of my faith is in Jesus Christ. Therefore, nothing is able to move me from His presence. By doing as these two words instruct us, then we are able to excel in the work of the
Lord. Yes, there is work to be done, because people are hurting, lost, and confused. As the children of the King of Kings, we have to reach out to them. We have to let them know there is a healer and deliverer, in the land and His name is Jesus Christ. We have to be the ones, that help others to bring Jesus Christ into focus. Many have known about Him, some may have attended church, but something happened to cause them to drift away.
Some have never been introduced to Him. This is the work we are excelling in for the Lord; because we know it’s not in vain. It’s time for us to get started, because we have work to do. We have made it this far, because we are being moved forward by the power of the Holy Spirit. There are obstacles; but, you have to see the opportunity to help. The obstacles are the
issues you are facing, but people need the opportunity of hearing that there is help. That’s why you have to be steadfast, and immovable, because you have work to do! Continue to walk in your blessings.
