When we look at the world we live in there is always something occurring that places innocent lives in danger, and in some cases they are killed.  Since this is happening around us, some believe we live in a world that is not safe.  In Proverbs 18:10 it states “The name of The Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe”.   The world the writer of Proverbs  lived in had the same issues of violence we face today, if not more.  The writer wanted the people to know if they had a relationship with The Lord, they would be safe.  In the mist of all the chaos and  violence in the world, we can be safe in The Lord.  What we tend to do is focus on the chaos, which puts us in bondage in our minds. We have to think about the capabilities of the God we serve.  This is important because we must be free in our minds and this leads us to understand The Lord is always with us. Therefore, we are safe.

The reason why you are safe is because you have eternal life through your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  The world you live in is not your home, you are traveling through it.  I’m not saying that you should be  reckless, but you know where you are going when you leave this world.  Therefore, you don’t have to live in fear, because you know your safe!
