There are a number of people that are living their lives waiting to die. Let me explain. Their life experiences has taught them nobody cares, because people pass them as though they don’t exist. They are struggling to make it from one day to the next, but no one is offering to extend a helping hand. They have become frustrated with life and have given up. They are not motivated to do anything. Therefore, they are waiting to die. In 2 Kings 7:3-10, we read about 4 lepers that were outside the city of Samaria starving. The city was under siege by the Aramean army and had a limited amount of food, and the lepers knew they would not get any of it. If they stayed where they were, they would die. If they went into the city, they would die. Then one suggested they go to the enemies camp. If they kill us, we were going to die anyway. This suggestion may sound far fetched, but we have to explore all possibilities.
When they arrived at the enemy camp, it was deserted but the horses and food were still there. So, you know they ate and took all they could carry. They felt guilty because there were people starving in Samaria. They went back to the city of Samaria to share the news, and the entire city was blessed with food.
I want you to realize you can’t give up, but should explore all possibilities. Even the ones that might be the unthinkable. The idea that seems far fetched is God pointing you in that direction. So no matter what, don’t give up! Be blessed indeed.
