Our theme for 2019 is I’m God’s Investment and when you read 1 Peter 1:3-9 you learn what to expect from God. However, what is identified in these verses remains unattainable to you – without faith. Peter goes to great length to describe what you can expect, when you don’t loose focus. Also, he makes it clear that you will deal with trials. Trials show the genuineness of your faith, and it will move you to praise the Lord. Why, because you recognize through Him – you are able to make it through whatever was trying to knock you down. Peter wants you to know, your faith in Jesus Christ will see you through. Even though you have not seen Him, you believe in Him and have “an indescribable and glorious joy”. Peter hit the nail on the head in using the word “indescribable”. That’s why you find yourself in worship service praising and thanking the Lord for what He has done. You can’t explain it, because words are unable to express how you are feeling.
Therefore, you just wave your hands and shout hallelujah! This truly exposes how much God has invested in you through the actions of Jesus Christ. It was not only His sacrifice on the cross, but also His resurrection early on Sunday morning with all power in His hands.
Now you understand why there are times you are unable to express verbally about what the Lord is doing in your life. Words won’t give it justice, or some people may think what you shared was not possible. No matter what – you continue to give Him all the glory, honor, and praise. Hallelujah!
