One of the things many people struggle to embrace is the calling on their lives. Why, because they don’t think they are worthy. Truth be told, none of us are worthy of the calling in our lives. We have all done things in our lives, which make us think it’s not possible for us to embrace our calling. We have a hard time getting past what we have done, so how could the Lord think we are capable of doing the work. Also, it’s no secret what we have done, and everybody knows how we were living. What we fail to realize is the Lord chose us. Therefore, He knows all about us, and still, He wants us to do the work. Saints, this is the Lord’s grace. Grace is God giving us what we do not deserve. I want you to know Paul is someone that has experienced God’s grace. In 1 Corinthians 15:8-11, Paul shared with the Corinthians that he felt undeserving of the calling on his life. But, he makes a statement in verse 10, which helped him to move forward in his calling, “by the grace of God, I am what I am”. Paul came to the realization, God chose him for this work. And, he was going to do his best.
Prior to accepting Jesus Christ into his life, Paul persecuted Christians. This man was doing his best to try and destroy all believers in Jesus Christ. However, the Lord saw fit to show him grace and called him to be an apostle to the Gentiles. Paul was sharing this with the Corinthians to let them know the Lord can use whomever He pleases. Therefore, when the Lord shows them grace, they have to get out of their own way and let God have his way in their lives. This is necessary to do because there will always be someone who believes you are not worthy of the calling. You know what, they are absolutely correct, but this is by the grace of God, I am what I am. So, get out of the way, and let the Lord have His way in your life.
Have you tried to ignore the calling on your life, because of your past? I want you to know, you have been blocking your blessings. You have to know, that your blessings come through your obedience to the will of the Lord. As I stated above, none of us are worthy, but this is by the grace of God. This is the Lord’s plan for your life, and it’s time for you to get out the way. So, the Lord can flourish in your life, and you can move forward being a blessing to others. When this is happening you are also being blessed. Continue to walk in your blessings!
