David wrote in Psalm 61:2 “lead me to the rock that is higher than I”. The specific reason for him to write this Psalm is not known, but something took place that deeply impacted him. It was a low point for him and he knew if he did nothing his life would continue to spiral downward. How do we deal with the low points in our lives? We can take our example from David in Psalm 61:1 – 2, when he prayed to The Lord and shared the condition of his heart. He needed The Lord to take him higher and place him on a firm foundation.
What is causing your heart to faint? Whatever it is, give it to God through prayer, and He will stop the downward spiral in your life. It’s time for you to let The Lord take you higher to change the scenery and give you a firm foundation to stand. Right now you are on shaky ground and you don’t know what is going to happen next. That is why, “The Lord is going to take you higher.”

I really enjoyed the word spoken. I am dealing with family issues right now trying to get me and my family on one accord its like me and my brothers like complete strangers along with my dad. I reach out to them all the time and get nothing. I know i cannot do it by myself.
I missed church on Sunday but was truly blessed after reading this blog. This is so powerful, I thank God for the Pastor and how he has allowed God to use him to deliver such powerful message. I said yes Lord, I give it all to you, I no longer want to be on shaky ground please lead me to that rock that is higher than I.
