One of the things you have to be aware of is:  Everyone will not embrace the ministry the Lord has for you. You have to make the decision to move forward in spite of what others may think. Some will have a problem with you because they have not seen any evidence of your calling in anyone else in your family. Therefore, they have determined your calling is not possible. It’s amazing how people will attempt to define you, based on your past. The thought of the Lord calling you has not entered their minds. However, the Lord did call you and is preparing you for the purpose of your calling. This is exactly what happened to Jesus when He began His public ministry in Nazareth. He would not allow the thoughts of others to get in His way.

In Luke 4:16-21 Jesus went into the synagogue to read, and He was given the scroll of Isaiah. He wanted to let everyone know what the Lord was going to do through Him. This is the start of the public ministry of Jesus Christ. Also, He was laying down the framework of His ministry. Jesus is letting us know as Christians, this is the framework we are called to do in our various ministries. The first thing He mentioned was, “the Spirit of the Lord is upon Me.”  Which signifies He is working in conjunction with the Lord, and He is directing Jesus every step of the way. Then Jesus goes on to say, “He anointed Me to bring Good News to the poor.” Those that feel hopeless and forgotten in the world are not forgotten by God. They need to receive this Good News to move forward, knowing better days are coming. The anointing identifies the purpose, the Lord has specific tasks for all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Through the anointing, Jesus will proclaim the Good News to release the captives and give sight to the blind. The Lord understands the downfall of people and Jesus is able to lift them up. The Good News is shared to let all who receive it know they are in the favor of the Lord. In essence, they have been blessed to receive the grace and mercy of the Lord. They are not to dwell on what they have done wrong but know they have the opportunity to get it right. 

Are you functioning through this framework? No matter what your purpose is through the anointing of the Lord, everything you do will flow through this framework. So, it’s time for you to get moving, because there is a lot of work to be done. Continue to walk in your blessings.
