There is something many people of God have lost sight of, they have been adopted into the family of our Heavenly Father. When we think about this statement, it should humble us. Why, because the Lord made this decision when He saw us at our worst. Saints, we have to know we are loved by God and all He wants is the best for us. Jesus Christ made this possible through sacrificing Himself for us. However, this will not materialize in our lives until we make the decision to accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Once we do, the transition takes place. This moves us from sinner to saint, from lost to being found, and from orphan to being adopted into the family of God. This is what God is offering to the world through Jesus Christ. God will not force Himself upon us, but will give us opportunities to see what is available.
In Romans 8:9-17, Paul is presenting to the Romans what is available. Since they have made the decision to embrace Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Through making this decision, their lives will no longer be the same. Because they are no longer relying on themselves, they are led by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit transitions us from death to life. This is why Paul shares with them how Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, and that same Spirit dwells in them. Therefore, they are not to live believing things can’t get better. They should realize that they serve a God that will raise them out of all the things that have been keeping them down. Jesus Christ was raised from the dead to let us know nothing can keep us down. No matter how bad it may look, we serve a God that will do the impossible. Why, because we have been adopted into the family of God, and we are heirs through the actions of Jesus Christ. So, we are not to live thinking we are stuck, but know we have been set free from a life of sin. We may have times where we will suffer through some things, but we also know the Lord will glorify us. As we live our lives glorifying Him.
I want you to understand, the Lord values your life. Jesus Christ came to make this clear for all that will accept Him into their lives. Once you make this decision, you are set free from a life of sin, you are filled with the Holy Spirit, which becomes your guide through life. Also, you are adopted into the family of our Heavenly Father, which means you are joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Thank You Lord for welcoming me! Continue to walk in your blessings!
