Have you ever attended a worship service at a church, and you spent the next 2 hours waiting for it to end? There was no excitement in any aspect of the service, and you felt worse after being in attendance. As Christians, we ought to be excited about our relationship with the Heavenly Father through our big brother Jesus Christ.
This is what Paul was sharing in Colossians 1:21-23, there was a time we were dominated by the sin in our lives. We were lost and did not even know it, but Jesus came in the flesh and died for us. He paid it all, so that we could be reconciled with our Heavenly Father. Through His actions we have been given an opportunity to accept Him as our Lord and Savior. When we embrace this opportunity, we are presented Holy and blameless to our Heavenly Father through the blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will not allow anything to come in and change our direction that has been set through the Word of God. This is what Paul was sharing with the Colossians. Y’all ought to be excited about who you are. God gave His best Jesus Christ for us while we were at our worse. Why, because He knew there was good in us even though we could not see it.
Are you excited about who you are? The angels in Heaven were rejoicing when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. I don’t care how long you have been a Christian, the excitement should not escape you. However, He is still excited about you, because He’s blessing you everyday. Hallelujah!
