As Christians we get excited when we think about how much The Lord paid to redeem us. Jesus made a conscience decision when He stepped down from heaven and came here. He paid the ultimate price by dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus did this knowing that many would not appreciate or even understand what He did. However, there was a man who recognized the power of Jesus through how he was delivered. When you have time read Luke 8:26-39. This is a story about a man that had many demons enter into his body. These demons caused the man to live amongst the tombs with no clothes. There were times when the guards would bind him with chains, but he would break them and run off into the wild. When he had an encounter with Jesus, He commanded the unclean spirits to come out of him. When the people came from the city to see what was going on, the man was sitting at the feet of Jesus clothed and in his right mind. As Jesus got on the boat to leave the city the man that was set free wanted to go with him. Jesus instructed him to “return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you” Luke 8:39. This man went all throughout the city telling everyone all that Jesus had done for him.
What about you? How much are you telling others about what Jesus has done for you? When you think about how much He has done for you, there is no way you can keep quiet. I challenge you to tell at least 2 people, how much Jesus has done for you. Then invite them to come to Church with you. You are now starting on the path of understanding how much Jesus wants you to do!
