Are we excited about our relationship with God through Jesus Christ? All of us would say ‘yes’. That is the answer we are looking for, however, is it accurate? To be excited about our relationship is not based on what we say only, but what we do. Do we realize that people learn more about us through our actions than what we say? Let’s take it a step further. You are always talking to your family and friends about coming to Church to be blessed. When they look at you they don’t see blessings, but someone who is always complaining. You can’t understand why they don’t go to church with you. We need people to see us give God the glory for what He has done for us. I’m not asking anyone to fake it, because all of us have moments we are not at our best. There ought to be evidence in our lives that we have transitioned from a negative to a positive outlook on life. When we take time out to think about what Jesus did for us that in itself should move us to give God the glory. In Philippians 2:9-11 Paul tells us God has highly exalted Jesus, and every knee should bend, and every tongue should confess He is Lord.
What is standing in your way from giving God the glory in your life? Whatever it is, give it to God and He will move it out of your way. I encourage you not to wait until it’s moved to give God the glory. God wants you to know, you can see the change through faith and praise Him for it.
