This pandemic has caused many to wonder, who am I? When they look around at all that has occurred, they see themselves as a nobody. Let me explain, the reason some feel this way is because making a difference is something they are incapable of doing. There is nothing they can do to assist people in their pain and anguish. They don’t know what to say or do to help people during this pandemic. So, they are worthless to themselves and others and will go into hiding. I want you to know this is not the answer, and you are not worthless. You are a child of the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, therefore you have to remember what the Lord has done for you.
In Acts 17:28, Paul says the following, “In Him, we live and move and have our being”. When Paul was in Athens and saw all the idols the people worshipped, he was moved to preach the Gospel. He could have thought there was no need to waste time sharing the Gospel with them because they have already made up their minds to worship these idols. However, Paul would not allow what he saw to deter him from giving these people an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ. Why! In Jesus Christ, he lives and when given the chance, he will let others know what He can do for them. There was a time Paul was not living for the Lord and he came to realize how Jesus Christ changed him. Therefore, he would not allow this moment to pass by without him sharing the Gospel. He had to move forward, and let these people know they have a chance to move in a new direction. When you live for Jesus, He will move you in a direction that will assist others to know there is a better way.
You can’t help others to live and move in Jesus until you know: He is the reason I’m still alive. In essence, Paul is letting it be known his existence would not have happened if the Lord hadn’t blessed him. Paul realized his being is all wrapped up in Jesus Christ, and he was called to make a difference wherever he went. No matter how bleak a situation may appear, he had an obligation to let it be known Jesus Christ can turn anything around. This was not a statement he was making to sway people, but he was walking evidence of what the Lord can do. This man went from being a persecutor of Christians to becoming one, and that’s when he realized I am somebody. The Lord could have taken me out, but He did the opposite: He took me in. He did this to let me know I am somebody, and I’m obligated to help others to come to this conclusion. Continue to walk in your blessings!
