Have you ever been looking for something, and once you found it you felt better? There are people that are looking for something, but they don’t know specifically what it is. Why, because they are restless where they are, and know there is something out there that can help them. I know this sounds vague, but this was me before I accepted the Lord into my life. I knew something was not right in my life, but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was. However, when I came to the Lord, everything started to make sense, and my life has not been the same. When this happened, I felt better and my life had direction and purpose. I’m no longer restless, because I’m allowing the Lord to guide me on this journey of life. Yes, I still stumble, but the Lord is patient and encouraging me every step of the way. I’m sharing this to help someone else who is restless, and searching for help. The help you need comes from the Lord, you have to make the decision to embrace Him into your life
In Proverbs 24:13-16, the writer wants the readers to know why it’s important to gain wisdom. In verse 13 the writer talks about eating honey, and letting us know it’s good. However, the purpose of this verse is to make a comparison to the verse that follows. The writer wants us to know wisdom is good for your soul. The writer wants you to know wisdom will open up opportunities in your life. Also, wisdom is gained by those putting forth the effort to find it. In essence wisdom will not fall into your lap. Wisdom is attainable, but you will have to work for it. Once you have it, then you know your life has purpose, and you are able to have hope. When you have wisdom, you have established a relationship with the Lord. Which means you are living a righteous life. Therefore, you are in a position where you take guidance from the Lord, and He is blessing you every step of the way. This does not mean you are now flawless, or perfect. What you do know to be true is the Lord is with you. When you make a mistake that causes you to fall, you will rise. Why, because you confess your mistakes to the Lord and through your relationship, He will cause you to rise. This is why you have hope, and understand there is a purpose for your existence.
Do you understand your purpose? If not, it’s time for you to seek the wisdom of the Lord, it will bring meaning to your life. The Lord does not want you to just be happy to be saved. He has given purpose to your existence, and you need to function in it. But that will only be possible when you gain wisdom. Continue to walk in your blessings!
