In John 14:15-17, Jesus shares with His disciples they
will have the help they need to move forward in ministry. In
verse 15, Jesus says, “If you love Me, you will keep my
commandments.” Jesus is letting His disciples know it’s
not enough to believe in Me, you must also love me. Why
is this important, because everything Jesus did was
through love. He came to show the love our Heavenly
Father has for us, and to remind us He will never stop
loving us. Therefore, if you are going to be effective in
ministry, you must love Jesus Christ. And, you must be
obedient to His commandments. Having this opens the
door for the Advocate to come in. Who is this Advocate,
the Spirit of truth.
In order to stay on the right track you will need help,
because the enemy will always attempt to derail your
ministry. The Father and the Son are aware of his
intentions, and will not allow us to be left defenseless.
Jesus is giving the plan you have to follow, the work you
are called to do, and letting you know the Spirit of truth is
with you forever. Jesus was making His disciples aware all
the basis have been covered, so they will be able to move
forward. Why, so that God can get the glory through there
lives.  The Lord has taken care of everything you need, so
there are no excuses. If you love Jesus Christ and keep
His commandments, you will have the Spirit of truth
forever. There are no obstacles that can block you, so
move forward in the opportunities before you. Therefore,
love the Lord, obey His commandments, and receive the
Spirit of truth. Continue to walk in your blessings!
