There is one thing we will all face in life, and that is obstacles. They tend to come when you are moving forward, and feeling good about what is happening in your life. When you start walking by faith, obstacles begin to show up because they want your attention. This is when you have to recall how the Lord has been making an impact. Remember, this is not the direction you chose, the Lord did. Which means there is a purpose, so the enemy attempts to send obstacles to cause you to change direction. However, you must press your way through even though it appears the obstacle is insurmountable, and you don’t have the strength to overcome it. But, the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s. Your moving forward in faith pleases the Lord, and you are letting Him know it’s in His hands. This is all the Lord needs to know, that you are trusting in Him, and He will take care of the obstacle. So, you will not change direction, but continue in the direction He has for you. Saints, you are able to make an impact by trusting in the Lord, and this will happen when you are walking by faith.
In 2 Chronicles 32:7-8, Hezekiah is sharing with the people words of encouragement. The Assyrian army is coming to destroy their city and take them captive. The people are afraid, because they were successful in capturing the ten northern tribes of Israel. Therefore, they think there is nothing they can do, because this is an obstacle that will completely change their way of life. King Hezekiah gathers the people in the square and states the following, “Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him; for there is One greater with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” He shared these words with the people to inform them on how the Lord is going to make an impact on their lives. By not allowing the Assyrians to destroy their city and take them captive. Now the people have to embrace these words and allow them to impact their lives. For them to see this come to pass they have to place their trust in the Lord. The only way they could do this was through moving forward in faith. Also, King Hezekiah had to be impacted by the Lord before he could stand and speak with conviction to encourage the people of God. The Assyrians (the obstacle) were defeated by the Lord before they could attack the city. This was made possible through the people being encouraged by the king, and the king being impacted by the Lord.
What are you dealing with in your life that is an obstacle? An obstacle is something that is impeding you from moving forward or achieving your goals. If this is the direction the Lord is leading you, then changing direction is not an option. You have to keep moving forward in faith, and the Lord will take care of the obstacles. Why? Because, you believe in the Lord, and will say, “it’s in Your Hands.” Continue to walk in your blessings!
