We have started this journey in understanding our theme for 2026;  I’m making an impact. There are multiple phases you will go through in order to make an impact. We have discussed the three transitions that will occur, and this week we will look at the fourth. When you are serious about ministry, there is a joy you feel on the inside that can’t be explained. Also, the Lord helps you to see things differently because when others see a problem, you see an opportunity.

Let me explain, the problem is real and all people want to talk about is what’s wrong. However, the Lord allows you to see past it, and He brings into view the opportunity for you to make an impact. The Lord is building up people to make an impact, because we don’t need any more spectators. Those whom He is calling were spectators, but they can no longer sit down. The Lord begins to stir them up on the inside, and make them aware of their potential. Then He moves them to take action. Why, because nothing happens if all we are doing is talking about it. We have been called to be a people of action, and that means it’s time to make an impact. Change will only occur when people are willing to cause it to happen. That’s why Jesus Christ came, to make an impact, to move people forward so change will happen.

In Luke 4:31-44, we are able to see how Jesus did not allow the persecution to block His purpose. I shared in the last sermon that our purpose is bigger than our persecution, and we see it in these verses. If Jesus allowed the persecution to win, how many people would have remained unchanged. The persecution happened to Him, but He chose to move forward in His purpose and many lives were impacted. Jesus made the decision to persevere, and nothing was going to stop Him. In these verses many lives were changed by Jesus and the people wanted to prevent Him from leaving them. Their actions were not hostile or mean, they didn’t want what was happening to stop flowing. They knew what a blessing Jesus had been to them. Therefore, when Jesus explained His purpose, they could not be selfish and understood others were going to be blessed. This is how we know their actions were not selfish in preventing Him from leaving.  Saints, we have learned the four phases we must go through in order to make an impact. The process takes us to the unfamiliar to become familiar with the Lord. The purpose makes clear the calling on our lives, and the persecution happens to stop us from moving forward. However, we know the Lord chose us, therefore we will persevere in making an impact. I want you to know, you have what it takes, because the Lord has anointed you! Continue to walk in your blessings.
