The purpose of a vaccine is to help us fight against a virus that can kill us. Within our country, there are still a number of people that are fighting against being vaccinated for various reasons. However, if they see the evidence before them, they will know the vaccine is effective. I want to take us back to the first virus that infected the world and that is sin. This virus was released into the world when Adam and Eve were disobedient to God. They could eat from every tree in the Garden of Eden, except for the tree of knowledge of good and evil. If they eat from this tree they will surely die (Genesis 2:17) but they were deceived by the serpent. After Eve ate the fruit, she gave it to Adam and he ate it as well. Then their eyes were opened and they realized they were naked. When God came walking in the garden during the evening, they hid from Him because they were naked. God already knew what had happened, but wanted them to tell Him. They were dismissed from the garden (Genesis 3:24), and sin had now been released in the world. 

Sin was causing all kinds of havoc in the world and God had to send the vaccine to combat against it. This is why Jesus had to come because He was the vaccine. We needed this vaccine, because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). In our sinful state we could not come into the presence of God. However, we could receive the vaccine found in John 3:16, which is available to all in the world. But, there are some that have refused to be vaccinated. Therefore, sin is still running rapid throughout the world creating division, destruction, and taking lives. Those of us that have been vaccinated know we have eternal life, and our salvation is assured. However, we have to live according to the will of the Lord. There will be times we make mistakes and not do as instructed by the Lord. That’s when we are infected by sin. That’s why we have a booster shot found in 1 John 1:9. Once we receive the booster the mild infection of sin is removed. So, I want you all to know this virus is still taking people out, because the enemy has convinced them it will not work. This is a lie straight from hell, and those of us that have been vaccinated know how blessed we are. We have not experienced any side effects, because there are none. Through being vaccinated, we now have joy, peace, and love, which we have received from Jesus Christ. Being vaccinated has been so good for us, that we can’t keep it to ourselves. 

I’m asking you, have you been vaccinated? If not, now is the time for you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior because He will change your life. There is nothing you have done that will stop Him from turning your life around. This vaccine is available for you and there is no copay, come to Jesus. Continue to walk in your blessings!
