We are in a time where people have become confused on who to believe. Many are hanging on to every word of the President, and are following what they see him do. They have ignored the impact of Covid-19, and feel there is no need for them to wear a mask in public, nor are they practicing social distancing. The information we received from those that have doctoral degrees in the field of infectious diseases, have fallen on deaf ears. The death toll has now exceeded 160,000. What will it take for people to realize this is not fake?

A similar situation occurred during the time of Joshua, who God used to lead the Hebrews into the promise land. They were in the land God promised them, but they were still holding on to idols that some worshiped in Egypt. As the leader, chosen by God, he would not remain silent. He gathered all the people together, and told them that they have to make a decision on who they are going to serve. Either they were going to worship idols, or they were going to worship God! If they are going to serve God, they had to take a stand and put away the idols. The choice was in their hands. However, Joshua said “as for me and my house we will serve the Lord”. This is what he shared in Joshua 24:14-15. The people had to choose between what is fake, and what is real. He was letting the Hebrews know, the only reason they were in the promise land, is because the Lord made a way for them. Therefore, he had to take a stand for the One that is real. He did not forget it was the Lord, that brought them out of slavery. As their leader, he wanted the Hebrews to know, He was serving only the Lord, because the idols are fake.

In our country, some are more concerned with serving the wishes of the President, rather than the One that blessed them with life. It’s time for the people of God to speak up and take a stand, and let it be known as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Take a stand today, and let the Lord guide your life, and He will not steer you in the wrong direction. This is not a political issue, it’s an issue of life and death. Continue to walk in your blessings!
