How do you deal with problems that occur? Do you immediately jump in and try to fix them yourself, or do you take a step back and ask the Lord for guidance? How you approach the problem will determine what will happen next. When we determine what the solution is and attempt to fix it, we get in trouble.  The problem gets bigger and we realize it’s out of control. Then we step back and ask the Lord for His guidance in what needs to be done. Think about this, why did you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Because, life was overwhelming you, and things had gotten out of control. There was nothing you could do except step out in faith, and place your trust in the Lord. You made the decision to hand it all over to the Lord and He worked it out. This is what you have to remember, if He did it before, He will do it again.

In Isaiah 7:1-9, we have a problem brewing that is out of control. Two kingdoms had joined together, but could not mount an attack against Judah. When the king and the people heard what they were going to do, “the heart of the people shook as the trees of the forest shook before the wind.” They were overcome with fear, and did not think they were going to survive this attack. The Lord we serve is awesome and knew the people were not thinking about calling on Him. However, He sent Isaiah to the king to let him know everything was going to be alright. Saints, there are times we are rattled by our problems, and don’t have the Lord on our minds. But, He has us on His mind and will come and see about us. In order to encourage us and let us know it’s all in His hands, Isaiah shared with the king the words of the Lord to put him at ease. At the end of verse 9, it states, “if you do not stand firm in faith, you shall not stand at all.” This was true then and is still applicable for you today. In order for you to see the power of the Lord to turn a situation around, you must stand firm in faith. You have made it this far by faith. Therefore, you will not waver, but continue to place your trust in the Lord. The Lord you serve is consistent and will always take care of you.  What has happened in your life that is attempting to shake you? Wanting you to feel there is nothing that can be done, so you might as well throw in the towel and give up. I want you to remember how far the Lord has brought you, and He has not given up on you. Therefore, stand firm in your faith knowing the Lord will make a way.

Continue to walk in your blessings!
