There are times we have to learn how to get out of our own way. In life we are always reminded about limitations we are faced with. Limitations come into play when you attempt to push through the boundaries that are before you. These boundaries are in place based on what others say are not possible, because they will not make the effort. There are boundaries in place based on the amount of education you have, or your financial situation, or where you live. When you believe these boundaries, then you are limited on what you can accomplish. Once you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, the boundaries in your life have not changed. Why, because they have become a fixture in your belief system, and you added Jesus Christ. However, in order to reach your full potential you must allow the Lord to renew your mind.

The Lord came into your life to change your belief system, and to remove the boundaries which have limited you.  In Numbers 11:21-23, Moses is talking with the Lord, because the people were complaining about not having meat to eat. They were talking about all they had to eat in Egypt, but they were in bondage. It’s amazing how quickly they forgot the impact of the Lord. Their situation improved because they are no longer slaves, but they wanted to focus on what they didn’t have. When they didn’t have water to drink the Lord provided, and gave them mana every morning. The Lord was letting them know there are no limitations in what I will do.

After hearing the people complain again about meat, it was becoming unbearable for Moses. So, he is now sharing his frustration with the Lord. That’s when the Lord made this statement, “is the Lord’s power limited? Now you shall see whether My Word will come true for you or not.” The Lord raised this rhetorical question, to remind Moses of all He had already done for them. The Lord was reminding Moses there are no boundaries of His power, so you need to take the limits off. Also, He was letting Moses know My Word will accomplish everything I have said. The Lord had showed His power in Egypt, at the Red Sea, and while they were in the wilderness. Now was not the time for Moses to lose sight of the power of the Lord. Yes, he was being weighed down by the complaints, but he needed to take the limits off the power of the Lord.

Have you fallen into the trap of thinking about your life prior to embracing Jesus Christ, and how good one thing was? This will make you think about what you don’t have rather than praising the Lord for what He has done. You are no longer bound, the Lord has taken the limits off when He freed you from a life of sin. Continue to walk in your blessings!
