In Psalm 113, the writer is instructing us to do something, and that’s to praise the Lord. This is the primary theme throughout all the Psalms because we have all been blessed to have life. The Lord is the giver of life, and He supplies all of our needs. Saints, if the Lord did not provide us with all the essentials to live, we would not be able to exist. By the Lord doing this for us, it says in verse two, “blessed be the name of the Lord from this time on and forevermore.” The writer is letting us know there is none like the Lord, He is in a class all by Himself. He is Holy, and deserving of all of our praise because there is no limit on what the Lord does for us every day. In verse three it says, “from the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the Lord is to be praised.” Since there are no limits on how the Lord provides for us, our praise will have no limits. The scripture states we should be praising the Lord continuously during our waking hours. Our praise to the Lord is more than clapping our hands, singing songs, and shouting. Our praise has no limits and we continue it wherever we go. The way we live ought to be a tribute to the Lord because we know He is blessing us every step of the way. This is why we remove the boundaries from our praise.
Some will only praise the Lord in a formal setting and think this is all that is needed; This is limiting praise. We have to recognize what the Lord is continuously doing for us. Once we do, it causes us to realize we should praise him more. In verses seven through nine, we read how the Lord provides for those in need, and he concludes the Psalm with this statement, “praise the Lord!”
I pray these words have helped you to understand your praise has no limits. By increasing your praise, you will see how your outlook will change because you will be able to feel the presence of the Lord. People will begin to see a difference in you and this is the Lord’s way of letting you know He sees you. By making these changes, your life will bring glory to the Lord. Continue to walk in your blessings!
