It’s amazing how people can look at your ministry and say a number of good things about it. But, they don’t know all you went through in order to get to this point. They have no idea how rough it was when you started in ministry. How some thought you were only involved for selfish reasons, while others thought there was no way the Lord called you into providing ministry. Why? Because, they knew a lot about your past, and how your life was nothing like what they are currently seeing. What they saw was you at that time, and you never mentioned anything about the Lord. So, they can’t understand how you were able to be where you are right now. The answer is the Lord. The hand of the Lord was already in your life, but you were too busy doing your own thing.

The change happened during your valley experience. It was during this time there appeared to be no way out, so you were ready to give up. That’s when you felt the hand of the Lord, and He began to speak letting you know it’s not over. You made a decision to step out on faith and trust the Lord. Once you did initially it seemed like things were getting worse, but then things started working for your good. In Genesis 39:19-23,  Joseph was put in prison by his master, because his wife lied to him. Prior to all of this happening, Joseph was Jacob’s favorite child and this caused his ten older brothers to be angry with him. The anger reached a point where they planned to kill him, when he came into the field to meet them. Initially, they threw him into the pit as they discussed what they were going to do. Being in the pit was the start of Joseph’s valley experience, and he realized this was bigger than him. This is when the Lord was able to get his attention, and he began to walk by faith and trust the Lord.

Joseph was taken out of the pit and sold into slavery, and taken to Egypt. While there Potiphar bought Joseph and he worked in his household, and became the overseer of all activities. Potiphar’s wife on multiple occasions tried to get Joseph to lay with her, but he would not break the trust that was given to him. So she lied to him, causing Potiphar to throw him into prison. It appears Joseph’s valley experience is not improving but getting worse. But, the Lord kept reminding him it’s not over, and allowed him to prosper while being in prison. Through all that Joseph was going through in his valley experience, there was a constant that was with him. The Lord was the constant in his life, reassuring him it’s not over when it seemed like things were getting worse. The Lord was allowing him to be successful through his valley experience. Are you going through a valley experience, and wondering what are you to do? I want you to know the Lord’s hand is upon you, and He is whispering into your ear to continue to have faith and trust Me. While you are going through, it may appear things are getting worse and you are thinking it’s not going to get better. That’s when the Lord lets you know, it’s not over! Continue to walk in your blessings.
