When the invitation was presented to you to accept Jesus Christ into your life, how did you feel knowing your sins will no longer dominate your life? Why? Because, you have been set free through Jesus Christ going to the cross for your sins, and being resurrected early on Sunday morning. This was an exciting time in your life knowing, the Lord loved you and did not hold your sins against you. You were feeling good about the direction your life was going, and you were involved in ministry. But somewhere along the way, you stumbled and felt you did not deserve an opportunity to keep going after what happened. Since then, you have done a great job in beating yourself up. Now it’s time for you to stop reminding yourself about the stumble that occurred, and remind yourself Jesus Christ has set you free. You must confess the stumble in your life, so that you can move forward in the ministry the Lord has for you.

In Romans 8:1-4, Paul is writing to the Romans to remind them of what Jesus Christ has done for them. In verse 1 it says, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Paul wants them to understand without a shadow of doubt, they are no longer on the outside looking in. They are now part of the Heavenly Family of God, because they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This is a life changing decision that will last throughout all eternity. They now have to own what was done for them, by living in a manner that will glorify the Lord in their lives. As they move forward there will be times when they stumble, but don’t let it stop you. Confess what you have done to the Lord, and keep it moving. Why? “Jesus Christ has set you free from the law of sin and death.” You are no longer bound by sin, so don’t allow it to come inside, let it stay outside. The Lord has created this opportunity for you to make an impact on the world. By letting it be known wherever you are, how great and mighty is the Lord. There will be obstacles along the way, but the opportunities will be greater. So don’t allow the things of the world to overwhelm you, but allow the Lord to work through you to overwhelm the things of the world.  I want you to understand the Lord has made you whole. Did you deserve what was done for you, no, but the love the Lord has for you is great. It’s through love you were given this opportunity. Now that you have accepted Jesus Christ into your life, you are responsible for owning this relationship. How, by living your life in a manner that will glorify the Lord. Why, because you are not on the outside looking in, but inside with the Lord. Continue to walk in your blessings!
