The key to ministry is to first allow the Lord to have an impact on your life; this will happen as you move forward in faith. The only way your ministry will make a difference in the lives of others is by them seeing how the Lord has changed you. It’s not about you wearing a cross around your neck or them seeing you with a Bible in your hand. The way you live and speak will be evidence of what the Lord has done. The purpose of your ministry is to draw people to Jesus Christ, and help them to understand the significance of the people of God coming together on a consistent basis. When this happens, the Church will be able to do what others think is impossible.
In Hebrews 10:19-25, the writer wants the people of God to know the necessity of us coming together on a consistent basis. When we assemble in the sanctuary, something should take place that has an impact on us. The writer wants you to have confidence when you enter the sanctuary, you have been covered in the blood of Jesus Christ. In essence, once you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the sin in your life was washed away by His blood. So, you are entering the sanctuary knowing the Lord has made your life brand new and by coming on a continuous basis, the newness in your life is sustained. By this taking place you have the complete assurance through faith, that the Lord will take care of you.
So no matter what attempts to shake you, your belief in the Lord will not allow you to waver. Why, because you will continue to hold on to the promises the Lord has made. The Lord has proven to be faithful and you will not allow anything to loosen your grip. Therefore, you are motivated to love and do good deeds to your fellow Christians. When this happens it moves them to do the same for others, and we will all be excited about coming to Church. So every time the Church doors are open, we will all be in attendance for worship service, Bible study, and various meetings. Because you have come to know, I grow when I go into the sanctuary with the people of God. I will not allow the opportunity to grow to pass me by.
The writer wants you to be in attendance at Church as much as possible. Why, because the Church is your support system and aids your spiritual growth. Therefore, don’t allow the opportunity for you to grow to pass by. Make yourself available to assemble with the people of God. By doing this you are motivated to go, and this will impact others to do the same. Continue to walk in your blessings!
