An injustice occurs in the Church when we come into the sanctuary and sit in silence. How is it possible for the saints of God to come to Church and don’t worship and praise the Lord? Have we allowed the world to overwhelm us, to believe it can’t get better?  Yes, you had a week of twists and turns, and nothing seemed to workout as expected. So, frustration sets in and you are ready to give up, and that’s why you have come to Church and sit in silence. An injustice occurred and it had taken you over. Remember you have come this far by faith and the Lord has been faithful. In essence when you move by faith, your focus is on the spiritual. Don’t forget you walk by faith and not by sight. That which is not seen is greater than that which is visible.

Therefore, you have to make the decision to place the physical into the hands of the Lord. How, by coming to Church to worship and praise the Lord and handing everything over to Him.  In 1 Peter 1:3-7, Peter wants you to have a living hope in what the Lord has done, is doing, and will continue to do. In verse 3, Peter wants to make it clear everything that has occurred in your life is through the great mercy God has given. Through new birth into a living hope, which means you are not the same. Your life has been changed through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, because you have placed your faith in the power of the Lord. These are words Peter is sharing, based on what the Lord has done in his life. He wants to share this with others to let them know they have a living hope, because Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead. No matter how bleak a situation may look, the Lord has the ability to turn it around.

Peter goes on to say in verse 4, you have an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading in heaven. In essence you have something to look forward to, because you are moving forward in the living hope provided by God. These words were important for the first century saints, because of the persecution they were experiencing through accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They made the decision to hold on, so we have to continue to hold on, knowing the Lord will bless us. Yes, there will be times of frustration, and that’s when you have to focus on what the Lord has done in your life. So, continue to walk by faith, knowing you are protected through the power of God. When you are dealing with life struggles, the enemy is attempting to cause you to lose focus on where your blessings come from. You have to make the decision to fight through your doubts, and focus on your blessings. Why, because you are protected through the power of God. Continue to walk in your blessings!
