In Luke 1:26-38, the angel Gabriel appears before Mary. He is bringing a message from God to let her know, she has been chosen to be the mother of the messiah. Can you imagine how she felt, with so many to choose from? I’m favored by God. She is not from a wealthy family, and she is from the town Nazareth of Galilee. After hearing the message from the angel, she asks this question, “how can this be, since I am a virgin?” The angel explains how this will happen, then shares that her relative Elizabeth who is old, is 6 months pregnant. Now Mary’s ability to believe is challenged, can she believe God is able to do the impossible? She has been presented with what God has done for her relative, and what He’s going to do in her. Her response is in agreement with what God wants to do in her, she says “let it be with me according to Your word.”
What about you? Are you willing to believe the impossible, God wants to do in your life? The Advent season is all about God doing the impossible, within the lives of people just like you. This was done in preparation for the Messiah to come. Once Jesus came, He continued doing what others thought was impossible. Think about this, once you accepted Jesus as your Savior, the door has been open. To make the impossible to become a reality in your life. Continue walking in your blessings.
