As we transition from 2020 to 2021, I want you to know the Lord is working it out. There are a number of concerns we are facing in this new year. Will we have a peaceful transition from 45 to Biden? Will the vaccines that are being administered for Covid-19 be effective? Will there be any negative impacts from the vaccine to our lives long-term by being inoculated? Will we be able to unite as one nation, because the past four years division was being promoted? Will our economy be able to recover from the pandemic? The list can go on and on, but I want you to know the Lord is working it out.
In Ephesians 3:20-21, Paul is giving a benediction to conclude what he wrote in the first three chapters of this book. Also, it was a reminder to the followers in Ephesus, that the power of God is working in them. Whatever appears to be an obstacle, the power of God will turn it into an opportunity. Paul is letting them know the things you have been called to accomplish, God will supersede your expectations. The bottom line is this, the power of God is going to work out whatever needs to be done. The Lord is going to do it and is going to work through us to get it done. Paul is a prime example of how the power of God will always supersede our expectations. When Ananias came and prayed, then laid hands on Paul, it was like scales fell from his eyes. Paul was excited because the Lord gave him an opportunity to turn his life around. He had made a commitment to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through answering his call the Lord used Paul, beyond his own imagination. Paul went on three missionary journeys preaching and teaching, and the Lord did an awesome work. The vessel he used was Paul, a former persecutor of the Church has become the one the Lord used to reach the gentile community. He was able to see the power of God working through him in ways, he did not imagine. Therefore, he is writing to the Ephesians to be prepared for how the power of God is going to work through them. To accomplish the things they were called to do, then exceed it and do what they could not even imagine. When they see this happen they are to give the Lord all the glory, honor,
