In Matthew 2:1-12 we read about the wise men from the east who saw a star that showed the birth place of the King of the Jews.  When they arrived in Jerusalem, the star stopped shining.  So, they went to King Herod’s house expecting to find the child who was born king of the Jews.  Herod gathered the chief priests and scribes’ asking where is the Messiah to be born?   They told him Bethlehem, and he passed this information to the wise men.   After leaving Herod’s house the star shined showing the specific location of where they would find Baby Jesus.   Once they found the house they entered and when they saw Baby Jesus they knelt down and paid him homage.  After doing this they opened their treasure chest and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

It’s amazing what took place once they came into the house!   They recognized this house was like no other, because the son of God was in this house.   This was an interesting situation.   The wise men were not Jews, but recognized they were in the presence of the one they needed to pay homage to.
What do we do when we come in the house of God?  Do we recognize we are in a place like no other? Are we moved to pay God homage?   These wise men understood they were in a place that was blessed.  Since they were blessed to be there, they in turn wanted to be a blessing.   That was their reason for bringing gifts.

I want all to understand it is a privilege for us to come in the house of God.   Why, because, we have been blessed to be there.  We want to show God through our praise and gifts we are thankful for all that He has done.   So, I encourage all to come in the house and invite somebody to come with you!
